Just like self-care, your marriage needs care as well. By now you should know Scott and I don’t really do your average dinner and a movie date night. We’ve discovered that creating date experiences is much more fun and incorporating some form of self care is mandatory. 2 kids, 3 animals, full time-high stress jobs, and side biz makes for limited time together.
Sky diving has been on our 40x40 list for some time now. Scott’s already past 40 and I’m quickly approaching. So when iFLY extended an invite for us to experience their indoor sky diving facility in Tukwila, we were 100% on board!
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
It’s not like falling out of a plane-fearing for your life style sky diving. You are inside an air controlled tunnel with a certified instructor holding you a majority of the time
Each session that you’re in the tunnel is only about a minute to a minute-thirty seconds. It feels like an eternity though and your adrenalin will kick in
iFLY will suit you up with flight suit and helmet - no need to bring anything but comfortable, loose clothing, and lace up sneakers. LADIES (and gents with lengthy locks) - bring a hair tie to braid or pull together a low bun under the helmet or you may end up with some dreads!
You will most likely feel sore the next day. You engage your core and arms the most, so do not be surprised if you feel like you did a killer work out 24-48 hours later. ***it’s important that they know if you have any neck, back or shoulder injuries so be honest on the waiver***
NO NEED TO PANIC! Enjoy the ride - they take great care of you and make sure you’re having the best time!
Our faces will tell you we had an epic good time. You leave on a high and ready to tackle the day. We went to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch and enjoyed a glass of wine to come down from the adrenaline rush!
iFLY isn’t just for adults. You can be 3 or 103! It’s a fantastic family activity as well as a fun day date. Their facilities are also complete with party and meeting rooms for your next birthday bash or company offsite. Great way to incorporate an employee activity.
