Whidbey Island Escape
The roads bend along the torso of the trees and unfold to the great wide ocean where you can rest your eyes along the vast landscape. Owls speak softly at one another, etching a melody through the silent night sky, while a slowness and stillness washes over and through your body as you inhale a generous breath. Here is where you may leave your burdens, unpack the weight of your day, and, with an elongated exhalation, gift yourself the grace to begin again.
WHIDBEY ISLAND ESCAPE is located on the very southern tip of Whidbey Island, an easy 10 minutes from the ferry terminal, and a breezy hour and a half north of Seattle.
This cottage is truly special and is a gem amongst the Island trees. Mountain and ocean views, calm and quiet property, fully fenced yard for the safety of your canine family member, and complete with a fire pit and ample outdoor seating. The Airbnb super-hosts have thought of everything for this little home away from home getaway. A complimentary bottle of Spoiled Dog Winery wine presented upon arrival, Netflix and Amazon Prime loaded and logged on, lots of cozy blankets to snuggle inside or outside in, fully stocked kitchen so you can bring in your own meals to cook, games for the family, and stocked coffee corner complete with a box of Whidbey Coffee which….. BE STILL MY HEART is one of my favorites. I think I blew through at least 4 k-cups a day while at the cottage.
Boho style modern interior and design brings a twist of the city to this charming woodsy hideaway. Chic black, white, and tan accents allow mother nature to be the true star of the show.
Although secluded, there’s still plenty of opportunity for outings, dining, and access to beaches and sweeping views. The Whidbey Island Escape is positioned at the top of the private beach access hill which leads right to Possession Beach. Simply step out the front door and take a refreshing walk to the beach!

One of the most special features of this property is the scenic view, from both the bottom floor and the master bedroom. Don’t skip out on sunrise AND sunset! Enjoy the rise and fall of the day from the comfort of the back porch soft seating, or the warmth of the fire pit. Don’t fret! The haze that sweeps through only lasts for so long and eventually breaks away to reveal what can only be described as a watercolor painting.
